I thoroughly enjoyed this whodunit and found none of the formatting or punctuation problems others have complained about. Clearly, they have been corrected.I liked protagonist Mary Magruder Katz and all the people surrounding her who appeared just enough to be interesting, but not enough to detract from the main plot.Mary is an attorney in Miami, FL where everyone has some minority blood in their veins. Mary has gotten involved with two major cases and one minor one, which carry the always interesting and often exciting plot through to the final page. One case involves a local judge who is suspected of leniency and possible collusion with drug offenders and whose career is on the line. The other, handed to her almost by accident, concerns a young man from Argentina rendered incommunicado by the Justice Department and Homeland Security on suspicion that he is a terrorist. The third comes when her boyfriend, a home developer, is sued because he is behind schedule in building some high-end condos. Mary has her work cut out for her and manages to deal with Miami weather, which in June means rain and more rain, as well as with threats against her life and limb.
This book was a fun read!

I enjoyed the interaction of the South Florida cultures and their interactions. A Really good mystery and the workings of our judicial system to give everyone the right to a fair representation.

A very well written book which kept my attention all the way through. Mary was a very good attorney who gave her all for her clients. She went through a lot to help those around her and it paid off with the cases she worked on.

Well constructed story. Fun and interesting to read. Involves criminal defense and Homeland Security. Very little violence or blood. Several cases that are realistic and entertaining. Good writing! Kept my interest to the last page.
I really enjoyed Justice in June. Mary Magruder Katz is my new favorite female attorney protagonist. She's smart, energetic, and respected among her colleagues. She does a great job juggling new and former boyfriends. This book moves at a rapid pace. I'm looking forward to reading more books in this series. I'd love to see this novel turned into a movie.
I downloaded the version of this book to pass the time and it did just that. The story was interesting and I enjoyed the courtroom scenes and legal issues. Some of the dialogue is stilted, though, with many passages being downright awkward. I don't know if it's the version or what, but wow, there were a lot of annoying punctuation errors! It wasn't a terribly exciting book, but I wanted to keep reading and I ordered the prequal - so that brought my review up to four stars.
